Alexis Connor - July 2021

This month we are pleased to present Alexis Connor for our Spotlight Feature. Alexis is a multi-talented ag professional who is pushing through the last leg of her college career. In 2019, Alexis was awarded the prestigious Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst Scholarship (DAAD, translated in English to "The German Academic Exchange Service") which was founded in 1925 and is the largest German support organization in the field of international academics! Alexis is clearly sehr gut at setting goals and achieving them for herself! We are pleased to have Alexis on our team of contractors, her professionalism and spirit brighten up the days of all who interact with her. How did you get involved with DCI?
I learned of contract project opportunities with Direct Contact through the University of Central Missouri. I applied for the job and the DCI recruiting team reached out to me.
Tell us about your future plans:
I aspire to work full-time for Bayer or the USDA. I am currently finishing my Bachelor's degree in Agriculture Business Management and International Studies in German at UCM.
What is the best thing about being a DCI Contractor?
I've enjoyed getting to know the DCI staff and I appreciate how helpful and kind everyone has been!
Tell us about your home and family.
I have a 16-year-old son, named Xander.
What was your first job?
My first job was working at the Heartland Theater as an usher.
What are your hobbies and interests?
Gardening!
What do you do the first hour of the morning?
Two words: tea and yoga.
What is your greatest achievement?
2019 Recipient of DAAD scholarship which allowed me to study abroad.
What are you ordering for your favorite meal?
Potatoes
What is your favorite sport?
Baseball
What is the happiest memory of your life?
Dancing in a Berlin nightclub.
What was your first concert?
Backstreet Boys!!!!!

Online shopping and Dairy Queen
