Corteva Acquires Stoller Group for $1.2 Billion
Corteva says it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Stoller Group, a producer of biostimulants and plant nutrition products, for $1.2 billion. Stoller is one of the largest independent biologicals companies globally, with operations in more than 60 countries and more than $400 million in annual sales. The deal brings Corteva immediate scale and profitability in a fast-growing agriculture segment and closely follows a definitive agreement to acquire Symborg (Murcia, Spain) for an undisclosed sum. The ag biologicals market is expected to grow at high single digits annually through 2035 and represent approximately 25% of the overall crop protection market by then.

‘Ranch Raised Kids’: A Unique Perspective Into Rural Youths’ Lives
Ranch Raised Kids — it all started in 2016 at the Arizona Cowpunchers Reunion Association Rodeo. After traveling the world together, photographing and writing about exciting places, couple Seth Joel and Charlie Holland of Seth Joel Photography found themselves somewhat “out of place” but also inspired and welcomed by the Southwest’s ranching community. The response when they got home to Los Angeles and shared their travels was, “Wow, I didn’t know people still did that!” And, so Joel and Holland set out on their newest adventure — a project dedicated to informing people “who are not from ’round here” about how cattle are raised and who does that work in this day and age.

Nick Millisor is the founder of Ullr's Garden. "How much nutrients these little plants are getting to how much light, how much red light versus blue light and it also keeps track of everything from PH levels to temperature to humidity," Millisor said. Millisor is talking about the technology inside of what is actually considered a farm.

Woman Brings A.I. Technology to Smaller Beef Herds
Driven by a desire to help others learn about the beef industry, Hanleigh Young is taking a different approach to business growth. Her company, Sync Up Breeding, provides artificial insemination services to beef producers, but her focus is small hobby farmers. Growing up in a big cattle and rodeo family, Young knew early on she wanted to work in the industry. “My family is all into rodeo and ropes,” she said. “I didn’t like the roping as much as the cattle.” When she was 14, Young worked alongside her ag advisor, Craig Evans, as an A.I. tech. This experience sparked her interest in cattle reproduction, and she went on to get certification at Cattle Visions in Clark, Missouri.
