How did you get involved with DCI?
A friend sent me an email about a project that he was working on. The project sounded interesting to me and I applied. I guess, the rest is history.
Personal and/or professional background:
I grew up on a farm in Indiana. I grew up on a farm in Indiana. Graduated from Purdue University with a BS in Agronomy-Soil and Crop Management. After graduating college, I moved to Illinois for my job and still reside in the state. I spent over 20 years working in soybean research at different locations in Illinois.
What is the best thing about being a DCI contractor?
I like the flexible hours.
Share with us bit about your home and family:
I'm married with one child. My daughter will be graduating high school in a few weeks. She will be attending Illinois State this Fall.
What was your first job?
I worked part time at a Veterinary clinic when I was in high school.
When I am completing contractor work I am driving:
Toyota Camry
What do you do the first hour of the morning?
I fix a pot of coffee to get the morning off to a good start.
What are your hobbies/interests?
I enjoy my flower beds of hostas, stain glass, antiques, restoring/repurposing furniture and other finds. As well as new projects that I find on Pinterest.
What is your greatest achievement?
I'm the first one in my family to have graduated from college.
What are you ordering for your favorite meal?
Steak and baked potato with sour cream, butter and cheese … forget the salad!
What is your favorite sports team/music group?
No one group, Classic Hard Rock in general.
Tell us about your favorite pet?
I have never had just one favorite pet. All my pets have had their unique quality to make each one my favorite in a different way.
Do you have a guilty pleasure?
Morel mushrooms, I enjoy eating as well as hunting in the woods.

Australia
What is the best piece of advice you ever received?
Never be afraid to get outside your comfort zone and try something new.
