Nufarm Acquires Trunemco Nematode Management Seed Treatment from BASF
Nufarm announced the acquisition of Trunemco, a global nematode management seed treatment solution with a first-of-its-kind patented combination of a microorganism and biochemical to defend against a broad spectrum of damaging nematode species. Trunemco will be developed and commercialized in a number of key global markets, and is expected to be launched this year in the United States, pending registration by the U.S. EPA.
Minnesota Dairy Farmers Dump Milk Because of Snow Buildup
Some Minnesota dairy farmers are being forced to dump their milk after heavy snowfall obstructed roads and damaged farms. The Twin Cities saw the snowiest February on record with 39 inches of snow. The buildup of snowfall last month is causing some farm structures to buckle, adding to the problems dairies already face after years of low milk prices.
AMVAC Enters Agreement to Purchase Selected Willowood USA Products
American Vanguard Corporation through its principal operating subsidiary. AMVAC, has entered into an agreement for the purchase of selected product lines and related inventory from Willowood USA, LLC which has sought approval of the transaction with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court under Rule 363.
USDA Will Proceed Slowly on Industrial Hemp
The 2018 Farm Bill legalized industrial hemp production, but it is likely to be 2020 before the USDA produces the regulatory framework for the new crop, said Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue on Wednesday.
